Having been brought up in a family run hotel Amanda’s early career took her to Hospitality Management with a variety of roles in 4 star hotels on the Lancashire Coast. Following serious illness Amanda retrained in Marketing and joined the team at one of the UK’s first outlet shopping centres, working her way up to the position of Centre Manager. Looking for a new challenge, and a better “work/life” balance, Amanda joined the team here at IT Works as HR Advisor and Business Support.
With a passion for learning and development, Amanda has qualifications in Public Administration, Business Studies, Marketing, Hospitality Management, Shopping Centre Management and Property Management. She has also studied Social Media Marketing, Employee Relations and Mental Health Advocacy, holds a Personal Alcohol License and is qualified to build scaffolding towers.
Away from the office, Amanda enjoys a range of creative hobbies from watercolour painting to jewellery making. Often this creative streak has been used here at the office with Amanda making face masks, personalised hand sanitiser bottles, branded mugs and branded Christmas baubles.
With such a varied work history Amanda is able to work with teams and individuals across the business, understanding the pressures they face and looking for ways to support them as they drive the business and their careers forward.
“I love being part of an organisation where individuals really do matter, where individual and team success is not only recognised but celebrated and rewarded and where you feel you make a difference.”
