Hospitality is one of the business sectors that many of our consultants come to us from and that’s exactly the route that Daniel Wallace took on his journey to IT Works. One of the key things that attracted Daniel to recruitment was the culture of “meritocracy” where individuals and team are recognised and rewarded for their success and efforts. Daniel was keen to find a role where he could apply the skills he had built and fostered working directly with customers and our system of niche individual markets really appealed to him.
As our expert in all thing LIMS Daniel works with a series of professional individuals and organisations at the cutting edge of medical and pharmaceutical research, something which became more apparent during the COVID pandemic. Being able to work with and support clients who are helping in the fight against Coronavirus, through diagnostics, rapid testing and vaccine research Is something that Daniel has found greatly rewarding.
Daniel loves nothing more than to spend a day in the great outdoors when not working, something he does regularly with the Lake District on the doorstep. Learning and self-development are also really important to Daniel and he is particularly keen on learning new languages. This also comes in useful in the office with Daniel being our font of all general knowledge. Many among the team are dog owners but not Daniel, no our LIMS expert is a cat lover and aspires to have many feline friends.
His calm and thorough approach to recruitment is what attracts new clients and ensures existing clients return time and time again. This market can often feel very busy and fast paced but this is the very reason that Daniel will always take the time to understand your requirements fully. Knowing exactly what you are looking for, understanding you company culture and plans means Daniel can ensure you are presented with the best possible candidates within the market.
“Working exclusively in the LIMS area allows me to maintain an intrinsic knowledge of skill sets available in the marketplace, allowing me to effectively advise and consult on client expectations.”
