The project manager will, using formal project management methods, be responsible for the management and delivery of the Epic implementation project. This will be the full project life cycle from identification of requirements to the realisation of benefits and business change.
They will support the Programme Director to identify the scope, objectives and outputs of the project and prepare associated project documentation – e.g. Business Cases, Project Initiation Documents, project implementation plans, benefits realisation and risk analysis plans.
They will support member practices in identifying and enabling operational change management resulting from the implementation of new systems.
They will be expected to manage a virtual team via matrix organisation of different specialists, e.g. clinical staff, admin staff and specialists as well as suppliers to deliver the Project.
