Key Responsibilities:

EPR System Implementation:
  • Provide essential support for the implementation of the Trust's new EPR system, overseeing data migration and reconfiguration of the data warehouse to align with the new system's requirements.
BI Enhancement:
  • Collaborate with the team to enhance the Trust's BI offering, utilizing tools such as SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and Power BI.
  • Drive improvements in data visualization and reporting capabilities to support informed decision-making.
Infrastructure Management:
  • Manage and maintain the existing data warehouse infrastructure, ensuring continuous and reliable availability of information systems.
  • Implement proactive measures to address potential issues and optimize performance.
Resilience and Robustness:
  • Develop and implement procedures to enhance the long-term resilience and robustness of the data warehouse.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and technological advancements to continually improve data management processes.
Leadership and Team Management:
  • Provide effective management and professional leadership to the data warehouse development team.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging the development of team members.
Technical Leadership:
  • Act as a technical lead across the Health Informatics department.

Experience and Qualifications:
Expertise in Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse Development:
  • Possess highly advanced specialist knowledge in the field of business intelligence and the development of data warehouses.
  • Demonstrate a track record of successfully managing and implementing complex or large-scale data management solutions.
Data Structures and Warehousing Techniques:
  • Showcase a clear understanding and detailed working knowledge of data structures and cutting-edge warehousing techniques.
Advanced SQL Proficiency:
  • Exhibit demonstrable experience in writing and utilizing complex T-SQL or SQL code in practical, real-world settings.
Comprehensive Knowledge of MS SQL Server:
  • Possess a detailed working knowledge of MS SQL Server, including expertise in Integration, Analysis, and Reporting Services (SSIS / SSAS / SSRS).
Power BI and BI Package Expertise:
  • Demonstrate substantial practical experience with Microsoft Power BI or equivalent business intelligence packages.
