Introduction:

Midlands based trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced RiO Project Manager to lead our optimisation initiative. This critical role involves overseeing the implementation and enhancement of the RiO system, ensuring its seamless integration within their healthcare operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing similar projects and possess extensive experience specifically with RiO.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Leadership:

    • Lead and manage the optimisation project for the RiO system, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
    • Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, from planning and initiation to execution and closure.
  2. Team Management:

    • Build and lead a project team, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
    • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members to enhance their project management skills.
  3. RiO Expertise:

    • Utilise in-depth knowledge and experience with RiO to drive successful implementation and optimisation.
    • Troubleshoot RiO-related issues, working closely with technical teams to find effective solutions.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including clinical and administrative teams, to understand requirements and expectations.
    • Communicate project progress, milestones, and challenges to stakeholders at all levels.
  5. Risk Management:

    • Identify potential risks and challenges related to the RiO optimisation project and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Proactively address issues to ensure the project stays on course.
  6. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and risk registers.
    • Generate regular status reports and updates for key stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in a healthcare setting, with a focus on RiO system implementation and optimisation.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations and processes, specifically related to electronic health record systems.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, facilitating effective collaboration across diverse teams.
  • PMP or Prince2 certification is preferred.
