Ambient Voice Technology Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation and rollout of an Ambient AI solution across our NHS Trust. This is a high-impact role focused on improving clinical workflows, reducing administrative burden, and enhancing patient care through innovative AI-driven technologies.

You will work closely with clinical teams, IT, digital transformation leads, and external vendors to ensure the successful deployment, adoption, and optimisation of Ambient AI tools in real-world healthcare settings.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of the Ambient AI rollout programme across multiple departments
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, risks, and budgets
  • Engage with clinical stakeholders (e.g., doctors, nurses, allied health professionals) to understand workflows and ensure solutions meet operational needs
  • Coordinate with IT, data governance, and information security teams to ensure compliance with NHS standards
  • Oversee vendor management, including implementation partners and AI solution providers
  • Drive user adoption through training, communication, and change management strategies
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior leadership and programme boards
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including data protection (GDPR) and NHS Digital guidelines
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and scaling of AI solutions

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering digital or IT transformation projects, ideally within healthcare or the NHS
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, or hybrid approaches)
  • Experience working with clinical systems (e.g., EPR, EMR) or healthcare technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder environments
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills
  • Strong risk management and problem-solving capabilities

Desirable Experience

  • Experience implementing AI, machine learning, or automation technologies in healthcare
  • Knowledge of Ambient AI / clinical documentation tools (e.g., voice-enabled or passive capture systems)
  • Familiarity with NHS structures, governance, and procurement processes
  • Experience in change management and user adoption within clinical settings
