Bluespier Project Manager

A midlands based trust is seeking a talented and experienced Bluespier Project Manager to oversee the implementation of the Bluespier theatre system within our healthcare facility located in the Midlands. This individual will play a pivotal role in leading the planning, execution, and successful deployment of the Bluespier system to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in our theatre operations.

Bluespier Project Manager Responsibilities

  1. Project Planning and Coordination: Lead the development of comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocations for the implementation of the Bluespier theatre system. Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including clinical staff, IT specialists, and administrative personnel, to ensure alignment with organisational goals and priorities.

  2. Vendor Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for Bluespier representatives and other vendors involved in the project. Facilitate effective communication, manage vendor relationships, and oversee the procurement of necessary hardware, software, and support services.

  3. System Implementation and Integration: Oversee all aspects of the Bluespier system implementation, including software installation, configuration, and testing. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure and systems, such as Electronic Patient Record (EPR) systems and theatre management software.

  4. User Training and Support: Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for theatre staff and other end-users on the functionality and operation of the Bluespier system. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to ensure user proficiency and system optimisation.

  5. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Conduct thorough testing and validation of the Bluespier system to ensure adherence to regulatory standards, data security requirements, and best practices in theatre management. Implement quality assurance processes and protocols to monitor system performance and resolve any issues promptly.

  6. Change Management: Proactively identify and address potential challenges or barriers to adoption throughout the implementation process. Develop and implement change management strategies to promote user acceptance, minimise resistance, and facilitate a smooth transition to the new system.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in healthcare IT or clinical systems implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of theatre management processes and workflows, with specific experience in Bluespier or similar theatre systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing requirements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is desirable but not essential.
