Clinical Systems Test Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Systems Test Manager to join a dynamic team based in the Midlands. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the testing of clinical systems, ensuring their reliability, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Test Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies for clinical systems, considering factors such as system functionality, user requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  2. Test Planning and Execution: Plan, coordinate, and execute testing activities for clinical systems, including functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  3. Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of test analysts and coordinators, providing guidance and support throughout the testing process.
  4. Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential risks associated with clinical systems testing, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  5. Quality Assurance: Ensure that testing processes adhere to quality standards and best practices, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
  6. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, business analysts, project managers, and clinical stakeholders, to ensure seamless integration of clinical systems and alignment with business objectives.
  7. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports, and communicate test results and findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  8. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Ensure that clinical systems testing activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO standards, and participate in regulatory audits and inspections as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in software testing, with a focus on clinical systems testing within the healthcare industry.
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows, terminology, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in test management tools such as HP ALM, JIRA, or similar.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) and/or project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
