Integration Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Integration Analyst to support the integration of a new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system within our healthcare environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, analysing, and delivering system integrations between the EPR and multiple internal and external clinical and non-clinical systems, ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and compliance with healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse integration requirements between the EPR system and existing applications
  • Work closely with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to gather and document integration needs.
  • Design and document interface specifications, data mappings, and workflows.
  • Support the development and configuration of integrations using standards such as HL7, FHIR, XML, JSON, and APIs.
  • Collaborate with integration engine teams (e.g. Mirth, Rhapsody, InterSystems, or similar).
  • Perform system and integration testing, including defect management and resolution.
  • Support data migration and validation activities where required.
  • Assist with go-live planning, cutover activities, and post-implementation support.
  • Ensure integrations comply with information governance, data protection, and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Produce clear documentation, including interface control documents (ICDs) and test plans.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as an Integration Analyst or similar role in healthcare IT.
  • Hands-on experience with EPR/EHR system integrations.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare messaging standards (HL7 v2/v3, FHIR).
  • Experience working with APIs and integration engines.
  • Ability to translate business and clinical requirements into technical integration designs.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in structured project environments (Agile or Waterfall).

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with specific EPR systems (e.g. Epic, Cerner, System C, Epic, or similar).
  • Knowledge of NHS systems and interoperability standards (where applicable).
  • Experience with data migration and reporting integrations.
  • Understanding of clinical workflows and patient data pathways.
