LabWare Developer

We are seeking a skilled LabWare Developer to join our growing team in a permanent, fully remote capacity. This role is critical in supporting the design, configuration, and deployment of LabWare LIMS solutions across global projects. You will work with cross-functional teams - including business analysts, scientists, IT professionals, and project managers to deliver scalable, high-performance systems that meet customer requirements in the life sciences and healthcare sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and customise LabWare LIMS to meet business and technical requirements.

• Collaborate with global stakeholders to understand implementation goals and translate them into technical specifications.

• Develop LabWare LIMS components including workflows, instrument integrations, reports, and data management rules.

• Support full lifecycle implementations - from requirement gathering and development through validation, deployment, and post-go-live support.

• Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and knowledge transfer activities.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and test environments.

• Contribute to continuous improvement 

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience with LabWare LIMS, including system configuration, scripting (e.g. LIMS Basic), and template development.

• Solid understanding of laboratory workflows in pharmaceutical, biotech, or clinical environments.

• Experience in global-scale LIMS deployments, ideally in regulated industries.

• Familiarity with validation methodologies (IQ/OQ/PQ) and documentation standards.

• Proficiency in interfacing LIMS with laboratory instruments and other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, ELN, CDS).

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating across time zones.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• LabWare Certified Professional (LCP) is a strong advantage but not essential.

• Knowledge of SQL, Crystal Reports, or scripting in VBScript or JavaScript.

• Experience working with Agile or hybrid project methodologies.
