MRI Lead Radiographer

We are seeking an experienced Lead MRI Radiographer to join us on a fully onsite, permanent basis. This is a key leadership role, ideal for a motivated radiographer who is passionate about quality, patient care, and shaping services in a brand-new clinic.

You will be responsible for leading MRI operations, maintaining high clinical standards, and supporting the development of the MRI service as the clinic grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the day-to-day operation of MRI services

• Perform high-quality MRI scans across a range of examinations

• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and excellent patient experience at all times

• Maintain compliance with IR(ME)R, MHRA, and local policies and procedures

• Support protocol optimisation and service development

• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to MRI radiography staff

• Work closely with consultants, clinicians, and clinic management

• Ensure equipment is used, maintained, and quality-checked appropriately

Requirements

• HCPC registered Radiographer

• Postgraduate qualification or significant experience in MRI

• Proven experience working independently in MRI

• Previous leadership or senior MRI experience preferred

• Strong knowledge of MRI safety and best practice

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Patient-focused, proactive, and adaptable
