NHS PACS System Administrator Responsibilities
- Regularly checking PACS to maintain optimal system performance
- Running & analysing PACS System reports
- Preparing images ready to be stored and/or transmitted
- Establishing effective relationships with end-users and clinical staff understanding the complexities of workflows and how they are integrated with the PACS system
- Providing 1st line support dealing with incidents and user requests
- Proactively finding solutions to troubleshoot issues to elevate system experience for users
- Acting on feedback gathered from PACS system users
- Managing and maintaining servers remotely
Your experience as an NHS PACS System Administrator
- At least 2+ years experience in a similar role in the NHS
- Experience working in a healthcare support environment
- Experience working with PACS & RIS systems
- Expert understanding of DICOM & HL7 standards
- Highly effective communicator
- Excellent ability to multitask organising workload independently and prioritising accordingly
- Good knowledge of SQL programming language and database systems
- An enthusiastic & proactive approach to problem solving system issues
