RiO Test Analyst (Remote Role with Onsite Support for Midlands NHS Trust)

We are partnering with an esteemed NHS Trust in the Midlands region to recruit a proficient RiO Test Analyst with a specialisation in DocMan. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the implementation of the latest RiO version while working remotely, with occasional onsite visits to support our NHS client. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in healthcare IT systems, particularly RiO and DocMan, coupled with exceptional analytical skills and testing proficiency.

RiO Test Analyst Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate closely with project stakeholders to comprehensively understand requirements and translate them into robust test plans, cases, and scenarios.
  2. Develop and execute detailed test plans across all stages of the implementation lifecycle, encompassing functional, regression, integration, and acceptance testing.
  3. Utilise your expertise to identify, document, and meticulously track defects using established tools and processes, ensuring timely resolution.
  4. Foster effective communication and collaboration with developers and project team members to address issues and ensure smooth testing processes.
  5. Actively participate in requirement gathering sessions, design reviews, and user acceptance testing (UAT) activities, contributing valuable insights and expertise.
  6. Provide knowledgeable support to end-users throughout the testing phase, delivering training and troubleshooting assistance as required.
  7. Offer guidance on testing best practices, methodologies, and tools specific to RiO and DocMan, enriching the overall testing process.
  8. Contribute to ongoing enhancements of testing processes, methodologies, and documentation, promoting continuous improvement and efficiency.
  9. Stay updated on RiO and DocMan functionalities, updates, and industry trends, ensuring a current understanding of relevant technologies.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Demonstrated experience as a Test Analyst within healthcare IT, showcasing proficiency in RiO and DocMan.
  3. Thorough understanding of RiO modules, functionalities, and workflows, complemented by familiarity with DocMan.
  4. Strong grasp of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices, with proven experience in developing comprehensive test plans and scripts.
  5. Proficiency in testing tools such as HP ALM, Jira, or equivalent, along with meticulous attention to detail.
  6. Excellent analytical abilities and problem-solving skills, combined with effective communication and interpersonal capabilities.
  7. Flexibility to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to evolving project requirements.
  8. Willingness to travel occasionally to the Midlands-based NHS Trust for onsite support, demonstrating dedication to client satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. ISTQB or similar software testing certification.
  2. Prior experience in RiO implementations or upgrades, ideally within an NHS setting.
  3. Knowledge of NHS standards, policies, and procedures related to healthcare IT systems.
  4. Understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.
