Job Title: EPR Configuration Lead

Location: Midlands Base Trust

An NHS Trust is seeking an experienced and dedicated EPR Configuration Lead to spearhead the implementation of the RiO Electronic Patient Record (EPR) solution. This pivotal role requires a dynamic individual with a comprehensive understanding of EPR systems, front-end reporting, XML letter building, Docman, eObs, Virtual Assistant, and FLOW. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in configuring and deploying the EPR solution from inception through to full operational use.

RiO configuration Lead Key Responsibilities

  1. EPR Implementation and Configuration:
    • Lead the end-to-end configuration of the RiO EPR system, ensuring all components are tailored to meet the Trust's specific needs.
    • Develop and implement front-end reporting solutions to enhance data accessibility and usability for clinical and administrative staff.
    • Create and configure XML letters to support communication within the EPR system.
  2. System Integration:
    • Integrate Docman, eObs, Virtual Assistant, and FLOW functionalities within the RiO system to streamline workflows and improve patient care processes.
    • Collaborate with IT and clinical teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of all system components.
  3. Project Planning and Management:
    • Develop a comprehensive deployment plan, outlining key milestones, timelines, and resource requirements.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders, including The Access Group, to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
    • Monitor project progress, addressing any issues or delays promptly to keep the project on track.
  4. Collaboration and Support:
    • Work closely with The Access Group and internal stakeholders to understand requirements, provide updates, and obtain necessary approvals.
    • Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring a smooth transition to the new EPR system.
    • Develop documentation and training materials to support system usage and troubleshooting.
  5. Quality Assurance and Optimisation:
    • Conduct rigorous testing of the EPR system configurations to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance.
    • Identify opportunities for system optimisation and enhancements to continuously improve the EPR solution.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience in EPR system implementation and configuration, with the RiO platform.
  • Strong proficiency in front-end reporting and XML letter building.
  • Hands-on experience with Docman, eObs, Virtual Assistant, and FLOW.
  • Excellent project planning skills, with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
