What You’ll Be Leading
- A highly skilled multi-disciplinary delivery team implementing changes to systems and ways of working.
 - Strategic system deployments, change management, and benefits realisation across the organisation.
 - Collaboration with stakeholders, suppliers, and national and local services to deliver safe, effective, and future-ready digital solutions.
 
- Leading the Clinical Systems TCD Programme team to successfully deliver a portfolio of transformative digital projects.
 - Championing the organisation’s digital strategy and embedding clinical systems excellence across services.
 - Influencing stakeholders, managing risks, and ensuring systems meet national and local requirements.
 - Providing expert leadership to ensure successful business change and clinical safety.
 - Coordinating projects within the TCD programme, including technical delivery, training, and transition to business-as-usual processes.
 
- Support day-to-day operational management and organisation of the Transforming Care Digitally Clinical Systems Team.
 - Deputise for and support the Head of Clinical Systems to ensure the programme’s strategic direction is embedded throughout the organisation, developing and implementing relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with national requirements.
 - Manage and develop configuration and business change processes.
 - Work with all staff, stakeholders, and external third parties (e.g., NHSE, service providers, suppliers) to ensure robust system design, build, and testing of implementations.
 - Manage contentious issues in a controlled and integrated way.
 - Work with complex clinical service areas, including benefits and workflow analysis, stakeholder engagement, reporting, information governance, and risk assessment, to identify suitable solutions aligned with strategic objectives.
 - Use clinical system knowledge and expertise to analyse and assist in system selection, including business change, benefits analysis, training, implementation, and reporting.
 
Leadership
- Lead on change management processes to optimise outcomes.
 - Liaise with the Transforming Care Digitally Programme Manager and project managers to manage expenditure and project budgets.
 - Support the Head of Clinical Systems with contract management and Service Level Agreements.
 - Assist with planned clinical systems procurement, including requirement specifications, testing documents, and other related tasks.
 - Attend national, regional, and local meetings, workshops, and events as required.
 
Management
- Manage operational change and benefits realisation for clinical systems.
 - Oversee clinical systems risks, ensuring risks are clearly defined, regularly reviewed, and mitigated.
 - Maintain and develop change control processes to provide oversight and assurance for proposed changes.
 - Collaborate with Performance and Information Teams to ensure developments meet service specifications, KPI expectations, and reporting requirements, providing assurance that systems are fit for purpose.
 - Receive regular updates on project developments and coordinate communications to keep Steering Groups and operational teams informed.
 - Attend SIRI, investigation, and review meetings to provide expert advice and follow up on agreed actions
