Senior Integration Developer

Job Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Integration Developer to design, implement, and maintain healthcare system integrations. This role involves leading technical integration activities, ensuring robust, high-quality solutions, and collaborating with stakeholders to support strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead integration development using Rhapsody Integration Engine (filters, translators, communication points).

• Work with HL7 v2.x, FHIR, CDA/XDS, DICOM, and NHS-compliant messaging frameworks.

• Develop and maintain scripts using JavaScript, XPath, and transformation logic.

• Query and audit data using SQL (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle).

• Integrate systems via RESTful APIs (JSON/XML) and web services.

• Participate in Agile/DevOps environments, version control, and interface lifecycle management.

• Translate complex technical issues for non-technical stakeholders; perform root-cause analysis and problem solving.

• Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a high-performance culture.

• Represent the integration workstream in multi-stakeholder forums.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree or equivalent experience in computer science, software development, or related field.

• Strong experience developing interfaces using Rhapsody.

• Proficiency with HL7, FHIR, CDA/CCD/XDS, DICOM.

• Experience integrating with multiple healthcare systems (PAS, EPR, pathology, radiology, scheduling).

• Skilled in RESTful APIs and web services integration.

• Ability to produce reports and documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.

Desirable:

• Formal training or certification in Rhapsody.

• Familiarity with NHS Digital standards, data dictionaries, and IG/DSPT requirements.

• Experience deploying integration engines in cloud environments.
