Design, develop, and maintain data transfer interfaces within the Trust’s integration engines, utilising formats such as HL7, FHIR, XML, and communication protocols including REST, SOAP, M(L)LP.

Perform performance tuning, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of integration flows to ensure reliability and efficiency.

Plan and implement new interfaces as required, incorporating quality assurance, unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and formal sign-off.

Collaborate with the Data Platform team to create and maintain mapping tables that enable data translation between systems, ensuring compliance with data standards.

Ensure all interfaces and their management conform to security policies and procedures.

Monitor daily operations and usage of data interfaces and integration engines, identifying and addressing issues proactively.

Responsible for designing, developing, documenting, and maintaining all integrations, implementing proactive monitoring practices where appropriate.

Conduct post-mortem analyses following any unplanned downtime to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.

Participate in on-call rotations, responding to incidents as required.

Provide support for issues arising from both planned and unplanned downtime.

Maintain and update documentation and SOPs to reduce the likelihood of recurring issues.

Work closely with the Digital Service Desk to coordinate and plan changes to the integration engines.

Identify opportunities to enhance communication and data exchange between the Trust and external clinical systems.

Maintain an overview of all ongoing integration work and current interface status, producing reports (written or verbal) when requested.

Represent the Integration workstream in meetings, contributing actively to discussions.

Provide solutions, status updates, and time/effort estimates for new interface requirements, collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
