Position: Technical Sales Support Application Specialist
Overview:
We are seeking a Technical Sales Support Application Specialist to play a key role in supporting the sales organisation within a leading laboratory informatics provider. This position ensures that customer requirements are fully understood, effectively addressed and translated into tailored technical demonstrations and solutions.
You will deliver engaging product demonstrations - both on-site and remotely participate in tenders and customer calls, conduct laboratory audits, and represent the company at trade shows. Acting as a bridge between Sales and Professional Services, you’ll help ensure a smooth transition for clients post-sale while supporting broader business goals through technical expertise and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the Sales team in conducting laboratory audits, product demonstrations (on-site and virtual), and pre-demo strategy sessions for new business opportunities.

Contribute to the preparation of tender documents, particularly the sections describing system functionality.

Collaborate with the Technical Sales leadership to develop and maintain standard demonstration environments.

Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of relevant technologies (e.g., databases, scripting languages, reporting tools, web technologies) to confidently engage with client IT teams.

Act as a liaison between Sales and Professional Services to ensure effective knowledge transfer following the sales process.

Deliver compelling and tailored product demonstrations aligned to each client’s specific needs.

Attend industry events, exhibitions, and trade shows as an attendee, exhibitor, or presenter.

Participate in internal product discussions, providing customer-focused insights to enhance offerings.

Support internal training activities as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:

Native or fluent proficiency in French, with strong English communication skills (written and spoken).

Excellent presentation and communication abilities, with experience showcasing complex software solutions to diverse audiences.

Background in pharmaceutical research, manufacturing laboratories, or laboratory informatics software.

Willingness to travel up to 20% across Europe (primarily France) for customer meetings and events.

Solid technical foundation with interest or experience in areas such as software configuration, reporting, programming (Java, JavaScript), and database management.

Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office Suite.

Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a relevant scientific or technical field.

1–3 years’ experience in laboratory operations, LIMS, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or consulting.
