Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions supporting emergency and pre-hospital care services.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of Electronic Patient Record (EPR/ePCR) platforms.
- Develop scalable, secure, and reliable applications using modern Microsoft technologies.
- Collaborate with product, delivery, clinical, and technical teams to translate business requirements into effective software solutions.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making
- Support integration activities with wider healthcare systems and platforms.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure solutions meet performance, security and regulatory requirements within healthcare environments.
- Operate effectively within a remote-first environment, managing workload independently and proactively.
- Proven experience as a Software Developer or Senior Software Developer within healthcare technology, public safety, medical informatics, or related sectors.
- Strong commercial experience developing applications using .NET technologies (.NET Core/.NET 8, C#, ASP.NET).
- Experience developing mobile applications using Swift.
- Strong experience working with Microsoft Azure services and cloud-native development principles.
- Experience working within Electronic Patient Record (EPR/ePCR) environments, ideally supporting ambulance services.
- Demonstrable experience developing and supporting mission-critical software solutions.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively within a distributed team.
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including testing, CI/CD, version control and secure development.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
- Direct experience supporting Ambulance Trusts or Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
- Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, or API-based integrations.
- Experience within Public Safety, Emergency Services, Medical Devices, or Health Informatics sectors.
- Exposure to clinical systems, patient management platforms, or real-time healthcare applications.
- Understanding of healthcare data governance, security, and compliance requirements.
