Interim Head of Data

We are seeking an experienced Interim Head of Data to support a healthcare organisation through a key period of digital and data transformation.

The successful candidate will provide leadership across data strategy, reporting, governance and analytics functions, with particular emphasis on NHS data standards and clinical coding.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee data, BI and reporting functions
• Drive improvements in data quality, governance and operational reporting
• Work closely with clinical, operational and digital stakeholders
• Support enterprise-wide data strategy and transformation initiatives
• Ensure compliance with NHS data standards and statutory reporting requirements
• Provide leadership around clinical coding data accuracy and utilisation
• Support integration and interoperability projects across clinical systems

Essential Experience

• Previous experience operating as a Head of Data / Data Lead / Informatics Lead within the NHS or healthcare sector
• Strong understanding of NHS datasets and reporting standards
• Demonstrable experience working with clinical coding standards such as:
  • SNOMED CT
  • ICD-10
  • OPCS-4
• Experience working alongside Clinical Coding teams and wider Informatics functions
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership capability
• Experience across data governance, BI and analytics environments
