EPR DataWarehouse Manager

We are seeking an experienced EPR Data Warehouse Manager to lead the management, development and optimisation of data warehouse services supporting a major NHS digital transformation and EPR environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the data warehouse provides reliable, high-quality and accessible data to support clinical, operational, performance and strategic reporting. You will work closely with EPR, BI, Data, Digital and clinical teams to ensure data is accurately extracted, transformed, integrated and presented across the organisation.

This is a key role within the wider digital and EPR landscape, requiring a strong combination of data warehouse management, technical leadership, NHS data knowledge and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day management and performance of the EPR data warehouse and associated data services.
  • Manage the design, development and optimisation of data warehouse architecture and data models.
  • Oversee the extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) of data from EPR and other clinical and corporate systems.
  • Ensure data pipelines and interfaces operate reliably and efficiently.
  • Work closely with EPR teams to understand the underlying data structures, tables, workflows and reporting requirements.
  • Lead the investigation and resolution of data quality, integrity and reconciliation issues.
  • Develop and maintain robust data governance, quality and assurance processes.
  • Ensure data warehouse solutions support clinical, operational, financial and performance reporting requirements.
  • Manage the development and optimisation of SQL queries, stored procedures, views and ETL processes.
  • Monitor data warehouse performance, capacity and availability, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to data warehouse, BI and data engineering colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively with BI teams to ensure datasets are fit for reporting and analytical purposes.
  • Support EPR implementations, upgrades, migrations and optimisation programmes from a data perspective.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation is maintained for data models, interfaces, ETL processes and technical solutions.
  • Work with information governance and data protection teams to ensure appropriate controls are in place.
  • Translate complex technical data requirements into clear solutions for clinical and non-technical stakeholders.
