EPR Integration Analyst

We are looking for an experienced EPR Integration Analyst to support an NHS Trust with the delivery, development and optimisation of integrations across its EPR environment. 

The successful candidate will work closely with the EPR, Digital, Infrastructure, Applications and Clinical teams to ensure systems are effectively integrated, data flows are reliable, and interfaces support safe and efficient clinical services.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced integration professional with strong NHS healthcare systems experience to play a key role within a major digital transformation programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse, develop and support integrations between the Trust's EPR and third-party clinical, operational and corporate systems.
• Work across interface engines and integration platforms to monitor and troubleshoot system interfaces.
• Investigate integration issues, identify root causes and implement appropriate resolutions.
• Support the design and delivery of new interfaces as part of EPR implementations and wider digital transformation programmes.
• Analyse data flows and interface requirements, translating clinical and technical requirements into effective integration solutions.
• Work with suppliers and third-party system providers to resolve interface and integration issues.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, interface specifications, data mappings and integration workflows.
• Support interface testing, including system, integration, regression and end-to-end testing.
• Assist with data mapping, validation and reconciliation between systems.
• Monitor interface performance and identify potential risks or failures before they impact clinical services.
• Support EPR upgrades, migrations, deployments and go-lives from an integration perspective.
• Work closely with clinical and operational stakeholders to understand the impact of integration changes.
• Ensure integrations are delivered in line with NHS information governance, security and technical standards.
• Contribute to incident, problem and change management processes relating to integrations.
• Support the development of integration standards and best practice across the Trust.

Essential Experience

• Previous experience working as an Integration Analyst, Integration Engineer, Interface Analyst or similar role within the NHS / healthcare environment.
• Strong understanding of EPR integrations and healthcare interoperability.
• Experience working with clinical and healthcare systems and understanding how data flows between them.
• Experience troubleshooting interfaces and integration failures.
• Experience with interface engines / integration platforms.
• Strong understanding of healthcare messaging and interoperability standards, ideally including HL7.
• Experience of interface testing, data mapping and validation.
• Ability to analyse technical issues and communicate solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working with NHS suppliers and third-party technology providers.
