EPR Project Manager

Overview

We are supporting a large Acute NHS Trust seeking an experienced Interim EPR Project Manager to join a major digital transformation programme. The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, delivery, and implementation of Electronic Patient Record initiatives, working closely with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proven NHS Project Manager with experience delivering complex digital programmes within an acute healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of EPR-related workstreams across the Trust.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, RAID logs, governance documentation, and progress reports.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including clinical, operational, technical, and supplier stakeholders.
  • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigations.
  • Ensure programme milestones, deliverables, and benefits are achieved within agreed timescales.
  • Support business change activities, user engagement, and adoption planning.
  • Facilitate workshops, steering groups, and project boards.
  • Work closely with EPR suppliers and third-party partners throughout delivery and implementation phases.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership and programme governance groups.

Essential Experience

  • Demonstrable experience delivering EPR programmes within an Acute NHS Trust.
  • Strong project management background with experience managing large-scale digital transformation projects.
  • Experience working with EPR systems such as Epic, Oracle Health (Cerner), Nervecentre, Altera, Meditech, System C, or similar.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including engagement with clinicians and executive leadership teams.
  • Proven experience managing project governance, reporting, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Strong understanding of NHS operational and clinical environments.
